Alterations & Customization

No two brides ever look alike. And not just because you are unique but because through expert alterations, your gown becomes personalized. A very real reflection of you.

Here’s how it goes

For your initial shopping appointment…

We’ll ask what styling elements matter most—or sound exciting—and do everything we can to make it happen for you. This helps narrow down the options we pull for you to try on. After you’ve chosen “the one,” our expert, in-house seamstresses are available seven days a week to pin the dresses to fit perfectly, plus make custom changes or additions. This might be adding the right shoulder piece to a strapless gown, designing a custom bolero jacket, sewing in a modesty panel, or detailing a train with a bit more sparkle. When buying your gown, you can chat with them to discuss your wants and needs. Often, just one little change or addition can make the gown precisely what you envisioned.

You’ve chosen your dress… Now what?

As soon as we receive your gown, we’ll contact you for your first fitting, where we pin the gown and prep for alterations. At the same time, we’ll also offer you a styling session for accessories. A personal stylist will help you navigate our selections and make styling suggestions on jackets, jewelry, veils, sashes, hair pieces, belts, appliqués and more.

Cherished heirlooms find new life, too.

Like to add a bit of lace from a family gown into your own dress? Wearing mom’s veil (but it needs some serious bling)? We’ve got this! And, we’ll make sure these heirloom pieces complement your signature look in the most heartfelt way. What’s more, if you dream of wearing your mother’s wedding dress, we can make it perfect, and she’ll love it, too!

Your personality shines. Let’s celebrate!

Once our seamstresses are done with alterations, you’ll return to try on your beautiful, customized gown. You’ll put on everything from head to toe, making sure you love what you see. From there, we’ll safely store your gown with us, prepping it for pickup just prior to or on your wedding day.

“Working with my seamstress, Hannah, was incredible. I wanted sleeves added to my dress. She made the sleeves look flawless, like they were already on the dress from the beginning!”
